FOOD AND EATING HABITS

"We are what we eat"… some said and I couldn’t be more agree whit that.  When I was a little girl I only eats some meals, I was so spoiled, and is not until today when I realize how important is eat well. I’m not vegetarian or vegan but I hope, one day be the person who I want to be in every sense. My eating habits in the past year have change a lot. In the past I don’t really eat other than rice or fast food sometimes. I was eating pretty much the same things every day, for years. My parents never show me how to eat well and I never do anything about that because I never consider important until I was older and I realize how a poor diet has affected to me in many ways. Now I need more energy to do all the things that I want and besides that I’m getting older so my body need different thing to function well like good food and lots and lots of water.

Now I try to eat well, I eat fast food almost never and eat a lot of fruit, I liked so much. There’s many things that I don’t like still, because of my poor habits of the past, well I’m trying and that’s something at least, I’m getting better in all the thing about a healthy life and this is the beginning.

 I hope all of us discovery the healthy life! xo

GREEN?

The title said all actually, about the topic. I must say that is a difficult topic because I don't do much. I love nature and I want to take care of my and the world where I live, I like animals, plants, etc. I don’t throw garbage  on the floor, in the streets, I take care of the trash of my house, like tin, so the animal don’t cut themselves when try to open the bag . I try not to use plastic bags when I’m shopping in the supermarket or wherever I shop.  I walk a lot because is good for many reasons. All this Cain of things that I do its in part because I thing that its right but for the other part I don’t thing that I do  a change in the planet, a real change, I don’t save trees, I use plastic sometimes.

That’s the sad part now the good part is that in the future I would try to do better and greatest things for the environment because I think is important  and interesting!

So I would like to save the planet!! Ok no but one step at the time. You have to start form something and evolve whit time, I can’t only save the planet and not to worry about me as a person, been green implicated us as person in the inside who makes changes on the outside.

Hi all!

The topic for today class is animals or pets. First of all I don’t like the word pet, because I think it’s a word pejorative, I don’t like it and I don’t use it. I like animals I really like since I was a child I used to have animal under my care. My first was a dog but I don’t remember much, then a mousse, birds, etc. I have always been a careful person whit animals and I hope one day soon stop eating them  : ( . I don’t like very much meet I think it’s a little repulsive.  But sometime I eat thing that are made of parts of animal, because there is so many foods made of animals, like mosquitos,  bonds of animals, among others. 

Now the cute part of this… I have two cats and I’m obsess whit them.  My female cat is Lucylle and is white with blue eyes, she is very quiet and she doesn’t leave the house much, She love to eat and sleep and when she is mad I have to give her, space  (it’s a little terrify). My male cat is Mrs Cat, he is so active and a big eater, it’s too cute!!!!!!!!!  Has blond hair and it looks like a tiger, he has 6 moths, it’s a baby still, he sleep whit me, a mean, over me, he likes to cuddle.

Is Damien Hirst the right person to mentor Britain's young?

This is the tittle or the question with which the articles opens and let see the central topic of discussion. Damien Hirst is a mentor for young Britain artist for the future Generation art prize, besides helping launching on the Serpentine Sackler Gallery.

The articles question the figure of Damien Hirst and his role for the young people, showing a alarming statistics that shows how Britain is falling on the developed on literacy and numeracy. England and Ireland, young people between 16 to 24 years old come 12^th and 21th in literacy and numeracy respectively in a global comparison. This, clarifies the article, isn’t directly the blame of the artist, but he and the revolution of British art helped  to he define of the young British artist, between  football players overpaid, reality shows, etc. has sent the message that education is worthless, in return you can earn more money and respect  by  quote “pickling a shark”.

 The originality and wit of Hirst have taken a back seat, over his financial career, on this way art has become on the signature of the culture of Britain and Hirst the most “outstanding” figure. Following this road we can say that art is about money, art as just market.

 The articles close whit a warning, despise knowledge and overvalue money isn’t a good move its dangerous sent that kind of message to the young,

Hello all!

So this week I have to choose between my anime or Disney cartoon. Personally when I was a child I watch more Japanese animation than Disney.  Sailoor moon, Ranma ½, dragon ball,  Los caballeros del zodiaco, Detective conan, etc.  They were my favorite cartoon and my favorite thing to do besides play, I like Disney movie too but I was not a big, big fan, like others person I was never want to be a princess because  I liked more action, I mean, super heroes, like sailor moon who fight whit bad guys  and win, they kick asses.

My favorite between them was sailor moon and dragon ball, I really like both of them, because it was funny, has action, romance, etc. Like real people, I mean they do things bad and good like us. But most important, I think now, is not like Disney, all of them were perfect, and I think that if I were watched so much Disney; it may be a problem in the future growing with so much perfect models.

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

When it comes to traveling, I believe that any places can be good, I mean, they are unexplored by our eyes, so it’s interesting to found about the local things,  I would like to know  my entire country and the world most  strange places, but at the same time popular places like Europa, Asia, etc.

But if I have to choose one first I would like go to Japon. I found really interesting there original culture and history of the country, it would be really good to learn about their food, their traditions, the gardens, their temples, religion, etc.  

The classical aspect of japan called my attention a lot but Im not a fan of mangas or anime and  I think that the  culture is now heavily influenced by Western culture, but still with local adaptation and there strong roots.

The language would probably be a big problem for me, so I would have to deal with English and try to learn basic things, would be fun anyway and contributes to enhance the experience the difficult about the language.

My ideal job!

hi all!
To be honest I reaaly havent decide  yet what would i do after I graduate.  I think I want to travel, like the most of you, i in that journy discover what I passionate about when it comes about work.
Im not inlove on my carree so  my plans are finish the university and then work in something or maybe keeo studing a diferent thing, maybe travel and thats is what i more exited, becouse  i have the power of choose where ever i want, besides my carree right at the moment.
Its complicated but  I still have time to make choices.

Last post!

blog experience

 Well today is my last post in the blog and I have to took about the whole experience, besides that I’m very, very sick and I feel terrible but here I go.

 At first it was very uncomfortable because I don’t really enjoy writing about myself to other people, its awkward and weird but then reading my classmates and friends blogs, commenting and uploading pictures was fun, and the part that enjoy the most was  joking  whit my friends blog even when it was serious. In general it was a good experience but at the same time difficult because, not only for my but for what I see from my classmate’s blog to, it was hard to pick certain topics as favorite and stuff like that.

  About if this improves my English, well in certain way I think it does because  I had to pass through the process of finding certain words that didn’t know or knew at the moment or didn’t know how to spell it correctly, so it helped to me and in the end I enjoy the experience but  I wouldn’t  make a blog in English any time soon for the record.

Hello all!

Today we have to talk about are favorite subject, despite the short period of class, there’s one that I choose that make me really interesting (English too of course miss ;D ) and exited to go and this is a course from UMCE university, the name of it is “Drug Trafficking, politic, and neoliberalism”.

In this course we took a lot of things related the subject itself, like drugs, destruction of the bodies, drugs and life and how affect, etc. I really like this class because it’s interesting but that is not all, the classmates and the teacher made a really good environment, we sit in a large table where everyone see their faces, and listening carefully. The teacher is really good (in every meaning) he make me feel confident in the way he speak a mean in the way he passed the information, I understand him, he captive my interesting in the subject. We have to read many things and in certain ways is stressful, but interesting at the same time, if only I have more time I think  I even would read the suggested reading.

Beauty

Hello people!!!!!

Today I going to write about a video named called ¨A Darwinian Theory of Beauty?¨by Denis Duton, this video  explains the theory  of bauty a mean that the reason that we find something beautiful is the human evolution and not just "in the eye of the beholder".

Many things can said about beauty and taste in art especially, but for me I thing he start from a wrong proposition, that beauty or de conception of beauty can be universal , a mean not all the Japanese people love certain type of music .

Its is true that a theory cannot be understood in such a short video, but I’m just reviewing what I saw, ignoring the rest of the theory itself. From what I see Im not agree with the idea of universal beauty. The art has taught me that things can be different appreciated more as beauties, things like the grotesque and deformed are appreciated by many people, not making this a universal reality.

Theproposal is an interesting idea.

FAMILY TIME (?)

 Hi all, I want to start introducing my younger brother, he is Diego Velasquez Molina and has about demonized 8 years now.

I must admit that cost me choose a picture, but when I saw this, I could not stop smiling, is about three years ago, my brother was five at the time and I about to turn eighteen.

This image is special to me because my brother is to begin with a very important person to me in many ways, he saved me from myself and taught me many things. he is a very intelligent boy and funny, it's true that sometimes I have the urge to push my brother from the window, but most of the time just love it and I like spending time with him and hear everything  that happens, some very strange indeed.

The day of photography, I was alone taking care of him, so this picture was taken by us and that makes it more intimate. I remember that day he gave me a very funny advice about a situation that he noticed days ago and that is something that even I cannot forget, even with my poor, poor memory.

Maybe every sister believes his brother is different but for me, he is and I will always be grateful for his arrival and I know the rest of my strange family, agrees.

My brother is special to me and this photo reminds me that more than ever.

"Hello everyone! today I talk about me (I´m going to talk), my life and my interests.

I was born on november 18 of 1989. I was born in Santiago of Chile. (I was born on April 20 in Santiago, Chile)
At present I live with my mom, my sister with her husband and children (I currently live with my mother, my sister, her husband and their two children), Nicolas and Josefa. They are very stressful but I love them.

 I studied graphic design after the school but then I change idea and now I'm study History of Art at Universidad de Chile,(After finishing school I decided to pursue a career in graphic design, but then I change my mind, so now I'm studying art history at the University of Chile) and I love it.

In summers I like to work. I have worked as a salesperson, cook and cashier.

Respect my interests, I like reading and writing, watching comedy series, movies and art and design programs.( about my interests, I enjoy reading and writing, watching sitcoms and movies, I also love art and design programs)
I also like to go swimming (besides all that I like to go swimming) at the university pool but I can not always go.

Movie, movie, movie night!

Well following with the activities, it's time to talk about our favorite movie, which is very difficult because I have no one, I do not really have favorite thing in life, about anything, just some things that I like and others not so much, depending on the time of life. I thought I liked many movies for different reasons, then after a head soup, I decided for "it" (I'm not disturbed). 

Is a television movie of from 1990 the horror genre, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, “It “ . The film introduces Tim Curry in the role of "It", also known as Pennywise the Clown. The film also features the participation of actors such as Seth Green and Harry Anderson. In the direction of Tommy Lee Wallace.

The story is about the community of Derry, in the state of Maine, United States, a monster haunts the community. This monster is a being from another world, able to read minds and cause fears, which constitute their food. Its most common disguise is that of a clown, with which attracts its young victims. Although it remains hidden most of the time, faces twice with the protagonists of the story, seven guys who call themselves "The failed". Who pool their strength to face that and stop their attacks (I will not ruin the end).

The part that scared me, is where the clown appears with his head out the gutter and grabs the arm of one of the children. When I was bigger, I remembered and I thought back to watching the movie that had scared me so much, but the ending leaves much to be desired for me, finally the story itself captivated me. It is said that the book is much better than the movie, which must be true because in the film I think many things are left unexplained and in the book and really explains the origins of "it", and also to read the novel would understand the end of the movie much better.

was the first horror movie I saw sneaking... Enjoy.

The cure!

A few days ago I received an early birthday present and it was a ticket to the concert of the band The Cure. On Sunday April 14th I went to the National Stadium of Santiago where the concert was held.

The Cure is a British rock band who began his career in the late seventies, is very difficult to categorize them in one musical style considering the band's sound throughout his career.  

The group first came to Chile, offered a long and excellent concert. His songs offer me varied feelings which I like very much because there's a song for every moment I think. 

My father, my sister and I enjoyed his music and it is thanks to them that I met this group. The first song that experience of this group is still very special to me to this day and when you hear it live it was truly as if time did not pass by him or at least through his voice.

A little about me

Hello all!

My name, as some of you know, is tamara. I live with my father and my older sister, she studied literature at the University  and my father works in Antofagasta part time so he´s traveling.  I miss him when he goes but that gives me space to do fun and evil things.  I have two cat`s one is called Mr. Cat and  he likes sleep on my head at night. My second cat is named lucille, I put this name in honor of one song that I like. I consider she my oldest daughter. Besides that is my mother and my younger brother, Diego is 6 years old and is very similar to me in many things.
